Private Dermatology for Eastbourne Patients

The full range of skin conditions, seen sooner, a short journey from Eastbourne to Brighton.

A long NHS wait is often what sends people looking for a private dermatologist, and Eastbourne patients travel to our Brighton clinics to be seen sooner. We cover the full range of skin conditions, with diagnostics on site to confirm what is going on.

Skin conditions and diagnostics

We treat eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, urticaria, hidradenitis suppurativa, rashes, warts, skin tags and suspected skin cancer in patients aged 13 and over. Where a diagnosis needs confirming, on-site skin diagnostics including biopsies, swabs and patch testing get you a clear answer.

For anything to do with moles or lesions, the ATBM Fotofinder at our Matlock Road clinic supports early and accurate detection.

What to expect at your appointment

A consultant examines your skin, reaches a diagnosis, arranges any tests needed and sets out a treatment plan, all in one place and usually within a single visit.

Treatments and technology

Treatment ranges from topical and oral therapies to cryotherapy, minor surgery and lesion removal. As a guide, procedure fees including hospital fees start from £350 for shave excision, curettage and cautery, £500 for cyst removal, and £775 for skin cancer excision including histology. Your consultant confirms all fees before anything goes ahead.

Why choose Experts in Skin & Hair

Reaching us from Eastbourne

Our Brighton clinics are at 10b Matlock Road (BN1 5BF) and Nuffield Health Brighton, Warren Road (BN2 6DX), about a forty-minute drive from Eastbourne along the A27. No referral is required.

When you need skin diagnostics

Some skin problems cannot be diagnosed by looking alone. Where allergy is suspected, patch testing identifies what the skin is reacting to; where a growth is uncertain, a biopsy gives a definite answer; and swabs help with suspected infection.

Having these diagnostics available in the same clinic means a stubborn rash or reaction can be investigated and answered quickly rather than bounced between appointments.

Booking, fees and insurance

Eastbourne patients can book directly at the Brighton clinics. Consultations and recommended treatments may be covered by insurance depending on your policy, and self-pay fees are confirmed upfront.
